Below I am sharing 5 bold prayers to pray in 2022. Each of these prayers have the potential to radically transform your life. They are meant to stretch you and draw you closer to Jesus, our source and reason for living. I pray they bless you and encourage you to keep going after God like never before. 🙂
1. “Stretch My Faith.”
Of all the bold prayers I’m sharing today this one might be the scariest for me. I’ve realized that even though God has proven Himself to be faithful in my life time and time again, I can be considered one of little faith in times of trouble.
Just recently, I found myself scrambling to solve a problem in my life long before ever trusting that God had it all under control. When I finally stopped long enough to realize what I was doing, I realized that my faith in God was so limited even though He’s proven himself faithful to me so many times before.
So my prayer is for the Lord to stretch my faith in 2022. May we know that we know that He is for us, and that He has it all under control. May we trust Him like never before. 🙂
2. “Remove Everything in My Life That is Hindering Me From Growing Closer to You.”
The Song of Songs calls this the little foxes in our lives. This scripture always causes me to take a pause. I never want little foxes to come in and corrupt the work God is doing in my life.
You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together. Song of Songs 2:15 TPT
Pray and ask God to reveal the little foxes to you. The phrase “little foxes” means it could be seemingly small things you might not even expect. May God reveal them to us now and help us remove them from our lives.
I love that as you keep reading and come to the end of the verse, He says we will do it together. He wants to join with you hand in hand to remove the little foxes that are preventing you from growing closer to him. He doesn’t expect you to do it on your own; join with Him now to remove them. 🙂
3. “Reveal Every False Belief I Have About You.”
The closer you grow to God the more you may realize that you’ve held on to wrong beliefs about Him. Through various relationships and assumptions we make about Him along the way, we may begin to form false beliefs.
Pray and ask God to make himself known to you and to remove every false belief you have about Him so that you may grow closer to Him than ever before.
4. “Reveal Every Idol in My Life.”
Idols are sneaky and can sometimes come in seemingly “holy” packages. Anything in our life that becomes more of a priority than God is an idol. He tells us in His word to place NOTHING before Him. This includes our ministries, our families, and our churches.
Although these are all good things and things that should be a priority in our lives, we must be careful that they never become the number one priority in our life. God must always remain number one. He tells us this and requires this of us because He knows it is for our good. 🙂
Pray now and ask God to reveal idols in your life that you may not even realize have become idols. Placing God in His proper place in our lives is one of the most freeing, beautiful things we can do.
5. “Not My Will, But Your Will Be Done.”
This has become one of my favorite prayers to pray. Laying our own will aside and trusting that God’s will is what is best for us truly brings peace that surpasses all understanding.
We really can trust Him with our lives and believe with all of our hearts that His will for us is good. It takes the pressure off of us to hold it all together when we fully surrender to Him and His will.
Next time you set off on a new venture or pray for a friend or family member pray and ask that God’s will would be done rather than your own will. 🙂
Bold Prayers to Pray in 2022
I hope these prayers have inspired you and encouraged you to be bold as you go before your Father. Trust that His will for you is good and allow Him to expose the things in your life that need to be exposed in order for you to draw closer to Him.
We can trust Him with every area of our lives. Do not fear the stretching that must take place to get you to where you want to be! God is for you and has a wonderful plan for your life. You can fully trust Him. 🙂
