You have probably heard many of these things before, but I encourage you to read them as if they are coming straight from the heart of your loving Father to you. These aren’t just cliches we say as Christians, but they are words God longs for us to know and believe deeply in our hearts.
Five Things God Wants You to Know
1. He Delights in You
Have you ever found yourself delighting in a child or a pet simply because? This is how God delights in you. He delights in you because you are His, and He is yours. You are the apple of His eye, and He finds great delight in you simply because you are His.
If you are a parent you have most likely experienced this with your child. Remember you are God’s child, and He finds great joy in delighting in you just as you are.
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 NIV
2. He is Easy to Please
I remember the first time I came across a passage of scripture that described God as easy to please, and it stopped me in my tracks. I had never thought of God as easy to please, but His word describes Him as easy to please; and the more I get to know Him the more I realize just how easy to please He is.
He doesn’t ask us to do anything in our own strength. He asks us to lean into His strength and power. (Zechariah 4:6) If we find something to be difficult, it may be because we are striving in our own strength and not leaning into the arms of our loving Father.
“Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Everyone thank God, for he is good and easy to please. Your tender love for us, Lord, continues on forever.” Psalm 106:1 TPT
“How good you are to me! When people turn to you, Yahweh, they discover how easy you are to please—so faithful and true! Joyfully you teach them the proper path, even when they go astray.” Psalm 25:8 TPT
3. He Longs for You to Know How Deeply You are Loved
The love of God changes everything. We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19) He wants nothing more than to fill us with His unfailing love. Often we don’t find ourselves to be deserving of His love so we pull back or shy away, but God longs to pour out His love on each of us.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1
4. He Paid the Highest Price For You
There is no mountain He won’t climb for you. His love is extravagant, and He wants you to know there is nothing He won’t do for you. He already paid the highest price for you, so nothing is out of His realm of possibility to lavish His great love on you.
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:9-11
5. He is Not Disappointed in You
No matter where you are in your journey with the Lord, He is not disappointed in you. He is always just waiting for you to turn back to Him, and He will come running to you. If you know the story of the prodigal son, told by Jesus in the book of Luke, you may have noticed that when the son returns; the father begins running toward the son.
It has been said before that men in that time did not run in their long garments, but this father ran to his son because of his great love for him. God is always just waiting for one flash from your glimmering eyes, and He will come running to you.
He loves you with an everlasting love, and He is not disappointed in you.
Closing
I pray each of these meet you where you are, and that you begin to experience God like never before. Praying His blessings upon you, and that your life may be filled with peace, love and joy! 🙂
