Prayer is such a beautiful way to connect with our loving Father. Prayer is something I have held close to throughout my blogging journey. When I first felt the Lord calling me to blog, I was completely crippled with fear.
Fear held me back from even starting a blog for almost two years and when I did finally take the plunge, I was often still overwhelmed by fear. (Read my story here) Prayer got me through all of those fearful moments and continues to propel me forward today.
Without prayer, I am certain that I could not run a blog. I am so thankful for all of the moments God has heard my prayers and brought me peace throughout this journey. Today I am sharing 3 prayers for Christian bloggers I believe all Christian bloggers should pray daily.
1. “Not my might, but yours Lord.”
God never intended for us to tackle blogging on our own. We are meant to do this with Him and through His might and power. 2 Corinthians 3:5-6, “5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life”.
We don’t have to carry the weight of our blogs on our own shoulders. He who called us is faithful! (1 Thessalonians 5:24) God WILL bring it to pass. That doesn’t mean we won’t have to learn things along the way or put effort into the calling He has placed before us, but it does mean that we can trust that God is far more capable than we are, and He can do far more than we ever could.
Remember, unless the Lord builds the house; those who labor, labor in vain. (Psalm 127:1) Lean on the Lord throughout this journey. Don’t try to do it in your own might, but instead lean into His powerful might that will never leave you or forsake you.
2. “Not my words, but yours Lord.”
I believe this is the desire of every Christian blogger’s heart. We all hope to share the words that God puts in our hearts, not simply our own words, but the words He lays on our hearts.
Daily, we should ask the Lord to give us the words He would have us to share, and then be faithful to share them in the way He would have us to share them.
Be diligent to seek the Lord and commune with Him about what He would have you to write and share with others. He is always just a prayer away!

3. “Not my timing, but yours Lord.”
When we start blogging it is easy to have a timeline in our heads of how we believe things should go, but we must trust the Lord and His timing. His timeline will often look much different than our timeline.
This prayer reminds us to stay patient in our call and to trust that in due season God will advance our ministry as He sees fit. Refuse to let your faith waiver as you stand firm, waiting for your promise to come to pass.
Joseph waited 22 years to see his prophetic dream come to pass, Abraham waited 25 years for the birth of his son Issac, and David waited 15 years before he became king. Wait with patience and trust, knowing that God’s timing is best.
Bonus Prayer
“Keep my eyes on you, Lord”
Comparison is so easy to fall into on this journey. Often with one click, we can tell who appears to be excelling and who doesn’t. I know I’ve fallen into the comparison trap many times.
This prayer also ensures we stay humble on this journey. So quickly the enemy can shift our attention from God and our desire to steward our gifts well, onto ourselves, and how much WE’VE accomplished.
“May we instead keep our eyes on you, Lord. Not our sisters in Christ, not ourselves, but on you and you alone!”
Prayers For Christian Bloggers
I strongly believe we should be in prayer often about our blogs, our giftings, and our callings. Seek the Lord regularly about what He would have you to share, surrender the timing to Him, and lean into His might, not your own.
He who called you is faithful! (1 Thessalonians 5:24) He loves you, He is for you, and He wants to see you succeed at everything He calls you to put your hands to. Keep moving forward no matter how slow the pace may feel at times.
Author James Clear shares that progress happens not in one fell swoop, but in the daily chipping away. Keep chipping away because you never know when you’ll finally have your breakthrough moment!
Praying for you!
Lauren

Hi Lauren, thank you for offering encouragement and prayer for me as a fellow minister of God. I ministered through blogging some years back, but gave up after 2 years. I fought to keep going but my life circumstances proved to be very challenging during that season. I’ve since started back as He who called me is faithful, and He will see His work to completion.
I found you from Pinterest and I make it point to read posts from a handful of bloggers per week. Not only do I support this way, but I am also fed. Thank you for writing this post. It blessed me more than you know.
I return the prayer and encouragement for you as well. I pray that God will use your platform in mighty ways to carry out His vision for this ministry, through you. May you reap abundance from what you sow. Be blessed!
This blesses me! Thank you for your kind, thoughtful words. Praying blessings and increase for your ministry as well. Praying God gives you stamina to press forward into all He has planned for you. 🙂

I loved this post and I loved the part about keeping our eyes on him and his timing. We just have to put in the work and he will make it fruitful! In Jesus’ name!
Yes! He who promised is faithful! (Hebrews 10:23) God has recently been showing me that when He gives us a word or has someone speak something over our life our first instinct is to make it happen on our own. I know I have been guilty of this many times, but what He wants us to do is rest in the promises He gives us and trust that they will come forth in His timing. This doesn’t mean that we don’t have a part to play, we definitely do, but our part requires no striving. Instead, we rest and trust Him to prompt us and lead us as we are meant to go forward. 🙂 May God bless you and keep you on this journey! I am here if you ever need anything! -Lauren
